Bristol Rovers have confirmed the arrival of forward Bernard Mensah from non-league club Aldershot Town on their official Twitter feed.

Mensah has four goals and two assists to his name from his 14 league appearances so far this season and that has earned him a move that sees him jump up two divisions to join the South West side.

The English-born man started off his career with Premier League side Watford but only turned out twice for the Hornets and joined Aldershot in 2016 after loan spells with Braintree Town and Barnet.

Rovers fans reacted in serious numbers on Twitter, with excitement about their new arrival with one fan calling him a Football League version of Liverpool hotshot Mo Salah and another saying he is better than Wilfried Zaha of Crystal Palace.
