Leeds United have a history of promoting from within their academy, only to see a number of their young talent turn their backs on Elland Road, as their contracts ran down.

Andrea Radrizzani has acted on that and secured a number of the club’s talented youngsters to long-term deals, along with a number of senior players at Elland Road.

With that in mind, we take a look at a potential future Leeds XI, featuring some of the club’s talented youngsters, mixed with some of the current first-team.

Bailey Peacock-Farrell, the 21-year-old goalkeeper, is a player Leeds believe has a big future ahead of him, and we could see him handed a route into the first-team on a regular basis in the near future, with the youngster seemingly on the verge of Thomas Christiansen’s current squad.

In defence, Tyler Denton and Lewie Coyle, Leeds’ former academy full-backs, are out on-loan in the Football League, spending time with Port Vale and Fleetwood Town respectively.

There is every chance we will see the duo become regulars at Elland Road in a back-four that could also include Pontus Jansson and Conor Shaughnessy, who are both on long-term contracts with Leeds.

Kalvin Phillips and Ronaldo Vieira are two promising youngsters currently featuring in Leeds’ first-team, and they could soon be joined by the latter’s brother, Romario Vieira, who is making waves in the club’s academy.

There is every chance Samuel Saiz’s visit to Elland Road is a flying one, such is modern football, but two of Leeds’ current forwards could remain in the first-team for an extended period – Ezgjan Alioski and Caleb Ekuban – two players in their mid-20s on long-term contracts.

Mallik Wilks, a young 18-year-old forward, who has made just one senior appearance for Leeds, but is currently amongst the goals on-loan with Accrington Stanley, could join that duo in the future.
