Though Reading manager Jose Gomes will want to stamp his own mark on his Royals squad this summer, having narrowly avoided relegation this season, he knows the financial situation at the Madejski Stadium is such that he needs to sell before he can have the funds to recruit the fresh faces he needs.

Therefore the interest that Wolverhampton Wanderers are showing in young striker Danny Loader, according to Football Insider, could be enough to tip Gomes' hand and allow the youngster to link up with his compatriot Nuno Espirito Santos at Molineux.

So should Reading look to offload Loader to help ease their financial worries?

We discuss........

George Dagless

"Probably.

"They won't want to lose him but it's deals like this that help a club along when they need it.

"Reading have some decent young players at the moment and though they'll want to see them grow at their club, they also have financial value."

Louie Chandler

"I think so.

"Loader doesn't look like he is going to be in or around the Reading first team next season so if they can get a hefty fee for him then they should.

"Gomes did well towards the end of last season but the Royals will still need to strengthen this summer."

Gary Hutchinson

“That’s exactly the right question.

“This is a world driven by money and Reading need some.

“Wolves won’t be just buying a player, they’ll be buying potential and that is going to cost them.

“Sadly, Reading have to consider it.”
