Birmingham City fans, cast your minds back to a hectic transfer Deadline Day in August 2017.

It was a frantic end to the transfer window for the Blues, but there was one significant departure on the day, with Clayton Donaldson leaving the club to join Sheffield United.

See how Birmingham supporters reacted to the news of his departure at the time.

Donaldson was never the most prolific of strikers but he certainly played his part in a Birmingham team that struggled for a number of seasons in the Championship.

In his debut season for the club, he netted 16 goals in total but struggled to replicate that form as the years ticked away.

He moved to Sheffield United and struggled to make a notable impact with the Blades in their first season in the Championship.

The Jamaican scored five goals in 26 league appearances for Chris Wilder's side before being released following the expiration of his contract at the end of the season.

He wasted no time in finding a new club as he signed for Bolton Wanderers in June 2018, and it's safe to say that he hasn't endured the best of spells with Phil Parkinson's side.

He has scored just two goals all season and his lack of goals have meant that Bolton find themselves in real trouble as they battle against relegation.

The Trotters have also had their fair share of financial problems, with the EFL set to hold a meeting to discuss the club's future today.

It's fair to say that he hasn't had the best of spells since leaving Birmingham for Sheffield United not so long ago.
