Gary Rowett is a man growing more and more under pressure by the day with many Stoke City fans now openly calling for him to be sacked. 

The Potters were installed as convincing pre-season favourites to not only win promotion straight back to the Premier League but to do it as champions.

But with over half of the season now played, that is looking extremely unlikely.

The club currently sit in 14th place, 16 points behind table-toppers Leeds United and nine behind Derby County who currently occupy the final play-off spot.

With an FA Cup tie against League One Shrewsbury today, it was the perfect chance for Rowett to pick up a convincing win and instil some more confidence in his side.
