Sabri Lamouchi is said to be a big admirer of Mbaye Diagne as he looks to lure the striker to Nottingham Forest this summer, as per reports from Fotomac.

Diagne has been heavily linked with a move to the City Ground over the past month, with Watford also being credited with an interest in the Senegalese forward.

The 28-year-old scored 31 goals in all competitions for Galatasaray last season, but the signing of Radamel Falcao pushed him down the pecking order in Turkey.

Has Lewis Grabban done these 12 things at Forest?

Diagne subsequently moved on loan to Club Brugge in the summer, scoring four goals in nine appearances for the Belgian champions.

But now, the powerful striker is a man in demand, and Fotomac claim that Sabri Lamouchi is a big admirer of Diagne.

It is claimed that Galatasaray will look to demand around £5m for Diagne's services, despite tying him down to a deal until 2023 and splashing out €13m for his signature in January 2019.

Forest brought in Nuno da Costa from Strasbourg and recalled Tyler Walker from his loan spell at Lincoln City in January, in order to provide cover for Lewis Grabban in their bid for promotion.

The Verdict

I feel that Forest need to bring in another striker this summer regardless of whether they win promotion to the Premier League this season or not.

Lewis Grabban has been in electric form for Forest this season and is likely to be high up on Lamouchi's plans next season, but at the age of 32, Forest need to start thinking about long-term replacements.

Diagne has scored goals wherever he's been, and it would be a real coup to lure him to the City Ground.
