Sabri Lamouchi believes that Nottingham Forest will need to win up to 10 more games if they are to realise their dreams of promotion to the Premier League this term.

The Reds head into this afternoon's clash with Queens Park Rangers sitting fifth in the Championship table, sitting within touching distance of the automatic promotion places.

Forest currently find themselves sitting four points off Leeds United and West Bromwich Albion - two teams who they have recently picked up four points against.

But Lamouchi's side sit only two points clear of seventh place, in what is shaping up to be a hotly-contested battle for promotion.

Forest have been impressive against the better teams in the division this season, but dropping points at home to the likes of Charlton, Middlesbrough and Hull City could prove to come back and bite them.

Speaking to Nottinghamshire Live, Lamouchi admitted that Forest may need to win between eight to 10 games if the Reds are to win promotion to the top-flight.

He said: "We need probably eight, nine or 10 more victories. But in 13 games, that is too much. We all have the same ambition.

“A few weeks ago I was talking about being bold. We need to be bold and to believe in our chances. But just to believe is not enough. We need to focus, we need to fight, we need to make more sacrifices and more effort, and just think about the next game.

"I am worried about each game, because now we are doing well and we want to win all games."

Forest have won only one of their last four games, but are likely to be feeling confident after Matty Cash struck a stoppage time equaliser against the Baggies last weekend.

The Verdict

It's a cliche, but Forest need to take it game by game and just do everything they can do pick up three points every week for the remainder of the season.

It's games like QPR at home which the Reds need to win, as they haven't done that enough this season.

They need to win today and rely on West Brom and Leeds to slip up - they'd rather be the chasing rather than the chased right now.
