Speaking to the Nottinghamshire Live, Lamouchi outlined his delight to see the Reds managing to extend the contracts of key players, whilst he also suggested that further deals could be finalised in the coming week.

"Last week it was Cashy, this week, Ryan. We hope to continue like this with good news next week, next month, because we have a lot of good young players. This is the project for the club - to keep the best young players and to build a project.

"The dream for the fans is to go up, and the dream for the club is to make this dream come true."

The Verdict

Lamouchi will be delighted to have seen two talented players commit their future to the club over the last week, and it will inspire confidence that the Frenchman is really building something special at the City Ground, which has been needed after all of the upheaval in terms of managerial changes around the club in the last few years.

Forest supporters will be hoping that more of the Reds' key players sign long-term deals in the coming weeks, which will allow the club to focus on both maintaining their promotion push and strengthening the squad in January, instead of worrying about losing players.

The fact that both Cash and Yates have signed new deals suggests that Forest are currently heading in the right direction, and that the squad believe that they can grow in their develop alongside the club over the next few seasons.
