Millwall midfielder Ryan Woods has said he is "enjoying" his time at the club so far, following his January loan move from Stoke City until the end of the season.

The 26-year-old has started Millwall's last three league games, and has shown what he is capable of in central midfield.

Speaking to the club website ahead of this Sunday's visit of West Bromwich Albion, Woods has discussed his time in SE16 so far, and how he has settled in.

"I've been out for food with the lads a few times and they've all made me feel very welcome, they're a great bunch. That's all I can ask for - hopefully I can settle in as soon as possible and get things going," he said.

He added that two teammates have been particularly helpful whilst he has been at the club.

"Jed [Wallace] and Pearcey [Alex Pearce] invited me to the hotel they stay in on a Friday before games, and that sums it up. They didn't have to do that, and I'm really appreciative of the help that everyone has given me."

The Lions take on table-topping West Bromwich Albion this Sunday in front of the television cameras, aiming to make it four games without defeat against the Baggies.

Slaven Bilic's side have been on an inconsistent spell of late, losing two of their last four league games.

However, Woods is aware of how difficult the game is going to be.

"It's going to be a difficult test - they've dropped off a bit but they're still doing well in the League. I've played against Millwall at The Den and it's always a difficult place to go to, so hopefully we can make it as difficult for them and get three points."

The Verdict

Woods seems to have settled in quickly at the club, and that can only be good for the team going forward.

The 26-year-old is likely to feature from the outset tomorrow, and Millwall will want to continue their respectable record at The Den.

The Lions have lost just twice at home all season in the league.
