Ryan Sessegnon has won the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Year award at the EFL Awards in London.

It's been a superb year for Fulham this season in the second tier of English football with them up near the sharp end for much of the campaign and looking to once again be a Premier League side next season.

Certainly, you cannot really argue with the award for the left-sided midfielder because he has been simply wonderful down the flanks for the Championship side.

Flourishing since the start of last year, he's seamlessly adapted to football in the second tier and many will be relishing seeing him in the top flight potentially in 2018/19.

Sessegnon beat Fulham team-mate Tom Cairney and Ruben Neves to the award with the Craven Cottage based-duo surely hoping that they can join Neves in the top flight next year.
