Millwall have reportedly agreed a new contract with experienced defender Alex Pearce according to London News Online.

The defender has been with the club on a permanent basis since 2019, having previously been on the books with the likes of Reading and Derby County earlier in his career.

His contract with Millwall had been due to expire in the coming weeks, but the club have reportedly agreed a new deal on reduced terms with the centre-half.

Pearce has made 72 appearances in total for the Lions, which includes 26 in all competitions during the 2020/21 season under the management of Gary Rowett.

Millwall finished 11th in the Championship table in that season, and will be hoping they can push for a place in the top-six in next year’s campaign.
