Leeds United advanced to the second round of the Carabao Cup last night after defeating League Two side Salford City 3-0.

After Eddie Nketiah opened his account for the Whites in the first-half at Moor Lane, Gaetano Berardi and Mateusz Klich added goals during the second period to secure a comfortable victory for Marcelo Bielsa's side.

Leeds will now face fellow Championship side Stoke City on Tuesday 27th August at Elland Road, just three days after the two sides meet in the league.

Given that the Whites failed to make it past the second-round of the Carabao Cup last season, they will unquestionably be determined to right their wrongs in a competition which they last won in 1968 under the guidance of Don Revie.
