Derby County have really kicked on in the past month and the impressive comeback victory at Leeds United in the week made it four successive wins. They will be looking to extend that run tomorrow when they welcome Reading to Pride Park.

Even though the Royals won last time out, they are having a tough season and it seems the ideal opportunity for the Rams to climb closer to the top three. However, despite the important win at Elland Road, Rowett will have to be more adventurous at home and make a few slight tweaks. He didn't pick a defensive line-up by any means in Yorkshire, but his side will play in a different style in front of their own fans.

The back five picks itself, with Scott Carson in goal, Andre Wisdom and Craig Forsyth as full-backs and Curtis Davies and Richard Keogh in the middle. In midfield, Joe Ledley is being assessed ahead of the game following a hamstring complaint from Tuesday, but given the short turnaround in the fixtures he will struggle to make it.

Therefore, Bradley Johnson should move in-field from the left to partner Tom Huddlestone. Johnny Russell is a welcome return from injury and will provide a real direct threat out wide, with Tom Lawrence on the other side, although the two can alternate throughout.

Rowett has four fine striking options to choose from, but Sam Winnall surely has to start after his winning double in the week. Behind him, Matej Vydra seems the manager's preferred options in the home games and should come back into the side. That will leave Chris Martin and Dave Nugent as the impact subs.
