Millwall pair Jed Wallace and Bartosz Bialkowski are expected to be fit for the Lions' clash with Luton Town this week in the Sky Bet Championship, despite carrying knocks in the game against Wycombe Wanderers at the weekend.

The Bermondsey-based side had to come from behind at the weekend, after Bialkowski got his feet in a muddle to provide the Chairboys with an opener, but come from behind they duly did with goals from Jed Wallace and Ryan Leonard.

Both Wallace and Bialkowski were carrying hamstring issues during the game, too, but Gary Rowett expects both to be fit for the Lions as they take on Luton Town tomorrow evening.

Quoted by the South London press, he said:

“Jed had a tight hamstring before the game but got through it really, really well.

“Bart had a tight hamstring towards the end, but he should be okay.”

The Verdict

Millwall sit just outside the play-offs after a solid start to proceedings this season and will be looking to kick on with a number of games on the horizon before next month's international break.

It's a good time to build momentum but having a healthy squad is going to be key to that given the amount of matches we're going to be playing between now and the next break in the domestic campaign.

Fortunately for the Lions, then, both Wallace and Bialkowski are in decent shape at the moment.
