Rotherham United sign Crystal Palace defender on loan

Rotherham United have signed defender Jack Hunt on loan for the remainder of the season from Crystal Palace, according to Yorkshire Evening Post reporter Leon Wobschall.
Hunt, 22, started his career at Huddersfield where he was a product of the Terriers’ youth system. He went on to make 121 appearances, scoring four goals, after making his debut in an FA Cup fourth round tie against Arsenal in 2011.
The 23-year-old was apart of the Town side that won promotion to the Championship via the play-offs in 2012.
After leaving Huddersfield, Hunt joined Crystal Palace and is yet to make a senior appearance for the Premier League side.
He’s also had loan spells with Barnsley and Nottingham Forest where he spent the first part of this season at the City Ground, however he has now joined Rotherham United.
Steve Evans’ side have been looking for another defender after Scott Wootton returned to Leeds following a loan spell earlier this month.
This is a good addition to Steve Evans’ side who currently sit 21st in the Sky Bet Championship table.
The Millers won their previous Sky Bet Championship game 4-2 against Bolton Wanderers at the New York Stadium.
Rotherham United boss Steve Evans spoke of his delight after the match, saying to BBC Sport: “We’re absolutely delighted because we asked the players to be full of endeavour and spirit.
“It’s a stunning goal from Matt and I thought he was absolutely awesome for an hour before he tired a bit. It wasn’t just his goal, his all round performance was stunning.”
