The Millers only just rescued safety from the relegation zone last year, and sat in 21st just above the drop zone. It sees them as 7/4 to go down, in a big season for Millers boss Steve Evans.

Others tipped for the drop are Charlton Athletic, 9/4, Bolton Wanderers, 7/2, Leeds United are 4/1 and Huddersfield Town are 9/2.

Remarkably, none of the promoted League One sides of last year are within the top five relegation favourites. Runners up MK Dons and play-off winners Preston North End are both priced at 5/1, whilst Bristol City are 8/1.

Those regarded as least likely to play League One football in 2016/2017 are recently relegated Hull City (33/1), Derby County (18/1), Wolverhampton Wanderers (16/1), Burnley (16/1) and Middlesbrough (16/1), as well as Brentford (16/1). Of those relegated from the Premier League, QPR are most likely to go down with odds of (10/1).
