Sunderland boss Jack Ross will certainly be confident that he is the man to lead the Black Cats back to the Championship as they continue their good run of form in League 1. 

Sunderland are currently sat 2nd in the Championship, behind Portsmouth, but Ross' side are definitely the form team in League 1, and are unbeaten in their last eight league games, which includes five straight wins.

Josh Maja has been in excellent form for the League 1 side, scoring nine goals this season, and unsurprisingly he has been linked with a move to the Premier League.

Ross will be keen for the young striker to stay with the Black Cats for the rest of the season and help play a crucial role in their promotion push.

McGeady was one of the few players to come out with any credit following the clubs relegation last season but he has been ruled out through injury for the majority of this season.

But he has impressed on his return to the side in recent weeks and provide's Jack Ross with a potential selection dilemma heading into their next league game against Wycombe Wanderers.

With Sunderland being one of the clear favourites for promotion this season, Ross will have to make sure that his side remain fully focused for future games.
