Ross County have announced the signing of Portsmouth striker Jake Jervis on a free transfer according to the SPFL Official Website.
Jervis, a former Birmingham City striker, was recently told his contract would not be renewed at the League Two side and has since been on the hunt for a new club.
The 22-year old made 15 appearances and scored four goals since joining from Turkish outfit Elazigspor for £40,000 in January. He was an important member of the side but he was told he was no longer needed.
Ross County have therefore stepped in and have added the striker to their ranks and he will now face the likes of Celtic and Dundee United next season in Scotland’s Premier Division (SPFL).
County boss Derek Adams told reporters, “We had to compete with a number of English clubs for his signature – Jake will be a great addition to our squad for next season.”
