Derby County will be hoping they can continue their recent upturn in form when they return to action in the Championship.

The Rams are currently sat 12th in the second tier standings, and will be hoping they can make a late push for the play-off positions this term under the guidance of Phillip Cocu.

Derby have won their last two league games, and will be keen to build on that when football does return. Due to recent off-the-field events, all footballing fixtures across the UK were called to an abrupt halt.

Phillip Cocu's side are just five points adrift of sixth-placed Preston North End, with the Lilywhites struggling for any sort of form at the wrong time in this year's campaign.

Plenty of Derby fans took to the 'DCFC -It's in our DNA' Facebook group to issue their thoughts on who they think has been the club's Player of the Season so far.

Take a look at the best of the reaction below....

Russell Riley: "Wayne Rooney results started to change when he started playing."

Antony Edwards: "You could throw Bird in there."

Alan Rankin: "Duane Holmes for me. Although Martin's in with a good shout."

Danny Allsopp: "Matt Clarke for me."

Bignath Nil: "Rooney, his presence since his arrival has turned us into a more than capable side. without him in the squad, we're below average."

George Stevenson: "Rooney, not only on the field but off it."

Patricia Hawksworth: "Duane Holmes."

James Hall: "Knight no where near for me Holmes Lawrence maybe and personally I think Lowe should be up there."

Richard Allen: "Rooney, without him we would be in relegation trouble in my opinion."
