What a season it's been so far for Cardiff City this year and you'd argue that they look good to keep it up for the rest of the campaign.

The men from the Cardiff City Stadium might not have been many people's favourites to go up this year but they are one of the most fancied sides now with a manager in Neil Warnock who has done it all before.

For sure, then, the Bluebirds are looking strong right now and, when you consider certain statistics from transfermarkt, there's a case to suggest that they could go even better, with Neil Warnock having something to improve on.

Indeed, the factor we're talking about is goals from substitutions this season in the Championship and it is actually something that Warnock is behind many managers in the league with.

Whilst the likes of Ian Holloway and Nuno Santo have got their calls bang on more often than anyone else in terms of goals being provided, Warnock is down in 18th in terms of ranking.

Of course, there's external circumstances like Cardiff not needing to perhaps chase games as much as others have this year so far, but there will be a time when they need to and Warnock will need to improve his numbers.

Indeed, with Wolves and Santo challenging for the title and seeing eight goals involving their subs - compared to the Bluebirds' three - it could prove to be a bigger factor than you first imagine in terms of the destination of the league.
