It's an exciting time to be a Leeds United fans with Marcelo Bielsa gearing up for his first season in English football at Elland Road.

The Argentinian coach has developed a super reputation in the game over the years because of his attacking style, attention to detail and tactical approach.

And, Whites fans will be hoping to see some great football in the next 12 months and the target will clearly be promotion.

Whilst the lack of transfer business so far is concerning, Leeds still have time to finalise deals. Either way though, part of Bielsa's magic is improving players on the training pitch.

Here we look at a potential Leeds XI in his famous 3-3-3-1 formation that could flourish in the Championship, with a few new faces...

Signing a keeper is a priority and Blackman appears close to joining from Chelsea on loan and would be a smart addition.

Ayling is a versatile defender, is strong but also capable on the ball. He seems ideally suited to a right-sided role in a back three.

The Sweden international is the best defender at the club on form and needs to rediscover his best under Bielsa.

The Brentford man would bring more strength to the Leeds backline and is another capable of playing out from the back, which will be much-needed.

Dallas has the energy to suit this role and could be a surprise starter under the former Marseille boss.

There will be a lot of responsibility on Forshaw in the middle who will look to use his passing range to help control the game for the Whites.

Pearce is an attacking full-back so would thrive in this position, where he will be told to get forward and provide width at every opportunity.

Hernandez would be the right-side of this attacking midfield trio and proved last season he is still one of the better players at the club.

The new loan signing from Chelsea has great technique and skill, making him an ideal link between midfield and attack in the final third.

The Spaniard has the potential to be a superstar in the Championship and could really excel in Bielsa's attack-minded approach.

He's not the number nine that Leeds fans will want but Roofe could do a job. He scored goals from a central role last season and was the Whites top scorer.

Additionally, he has pace, mobility, can stretch the defence and also link play dropping deep. In a Bielsa team the strikers role is demanding and Roofe's all-round game could see him go up a level under the experienced boss.
