West Bromwich Albion midfielder Romaine Sawyers has sent a message to his former Brentford teammate Josh Dasilva, ahead of the Championship clash between the two sides later this month.
Sawyers joined West Brom from Brentford in the summer and has been an extremely important player for Albion so far this season – making 17 appearances in the Championship.
The 28-year-old has been one of the standout performers for the Baggies, and his former Brentford teammate Dasilva has also made a promising start to the campaign for the Bees.
The 21-year-old – also a midfielder – has scored six goals in 16 Championship appearances for Brentford this season and grabbed the headlines with a hat-trick at the weekend as Thomas Frank’s side thrashed Luton Town 7-0.
Sawyers and Dasilva only started together for Brentford on just two occasions last season, but there’s every chance that they’ll both be lining up against each other in a few weeks, when the Bees travel to The Hawthorns later this month.
Ahead of the game, Sawyers has sent a message to Dasilva on social media, in response to a message from a Brentford supporter who claimed that he is looking forward to seeing the duo on the same pitch again.
With a message on Twitter, Sawyers joked the he is not looking forward to facing his former teammate.

Sawyers has been excellent for West Brom so far this season, just as Dasilva has been one of the standout players for Brentford.
The former teammates clearly still have a close friendship and I’m sure they’ll be looking forward to facing each other in a few weeks time – in what promises to be a tough game for both teams.
For now though, I’m sure they’ll be both focused continuing their impressive starts to the campaign for their respective teams.
