Romain Saiss scored just his second goal for Wolves as they extended their lead at the top with a comfortable win against Fulham last time out.

The Morrocan midfielder has really kicked on this season after a mixed first campaign since he moved from Angers.

He is now one of the first names on the teamsheet, forming an excellent partnership with Ruben Neves in the centre of midfield which has given Wolves the platform to control matches.

And, the 27-year old has revealed he is loving the passing game that Nuno Espirito Santo is demanding from his players. “I am enjoying the way the coach wants the team to play. This is my football. I like to play football, I don't like the ball passed in the air. I'm really enjoying it this season and I hope we continue like this,” he told the official site.

Whilst many of his teammates have a break when the international fixtures come around, Saiss is gearing up for a huge clash against Ivory Coast. Avoiding defeat will ensure his country progress to the World Cup in the summer.

The Verdict

For all the new signings that Wolves have made, Santo has taken so many players to a different level than last season and Saiss is one of them.

He struggled for consistency under Walter Zenga and Paul Lambert but is playing very well now.

Saiss brings physicality and power to the Wolves midfield but is great on the ball too and the way he plays with Neves is a major reason for the club's success so far.
