During what is a period of self-isolation and reflection, some Blackburn Rovers fans have took time to remember former talisman Tugay Kerimoglu.
Arriving at Ewood Park on the back of a mixed spell at Ibrox, Tugay was to become one of Blackburn’s most impressive players over an eight-year stay in Lancashire.
The attacking midfielder arrived from Ibrox for a reported fee of £1.3m in 2001, helping Rovers reach the League Cup final in his first season at Ewood Park. He missed the final, though, as they beat Tottenham.
Tugay was to make a total of 284 appearances for Blackburn in all competitions, scoring 13 goals and producing a series of impressive performances for the club.
