Wolves are hoping to finally offload defender Roger Johnson before the transfer window shuts tonight.

The club has been trying to offload the former Birmingham City defender since he returned to Molineux in May.

Jackett has managed to get outcasts Stephen Ward, Jamie O’Hara and Tongo Doumbia off the wage bill in recent weeks but there is still no news on Kevin Doyle and Kevin Foley.

Meanwhile Jackett is still keen on Leicester City striker Chris Wood but has had to admit defeat to his chase for FC Tours forward Andy Delort.
