Muniz has made 22 substitute appearances in the Championship, and has found the net five times, at his age as well the potential is clear to see.

Mitrovic will be expected to carry on as the Cottagers' first choice number nine in the Premier League, but it will be interesting to see if Muniz is still trusted as his direct replacement.

The Verdict

Fulham have typically loaned out a large portion of the players who put in the hard yards to get them out of the second tier in the past, but given the belief they showed in Muniz by handing him a five-year contract at the beginning of the campaign, it would appear that he has a good chance of sticking around next season.

Silva will likely persist with one up front next term, as has worked so well this season, which means Muniz will remain a backup at best, however with Mitrovic's fitness record and the development still to be undergone in the Brazilian's career, it is not a bad position to be in heading into 2022/23.
