Robertson: Helped the Cobblers to avoid relegation

Greg Robertson has signed a one-year deal with Northampton, the club has confirmed.

30-year-old defender, former Nottingham Forest, Rotherham, Chesterfield and Crewe Alexandra player, joined the Cobblers in February following his release from the Alex. He went on to make fifteen appearances for the Sixfields club.

Chris Wilder said for the Northampton official website: “I am really pleased Gregor has signed. He is a good, experienced professional and he is versatile which is important. He can play as a centre back in a four, as a left sided centre back in a three or as left back.

“He did well for us on the run in last season and we are pleased he wants to be part of what we are building here.”
