Hull City have been one of the most interesting clubs to monitor in this summer transfer window, their first under Acun Ilicali's ownership.

The jury is still out on Shota Arveladze's capabilities as a Championship manager, with the opening few months of the upcoming campaign seeming like a better time to judge the Georgian, after he has had a full pre-season to put his stamp on the side.

The Tigers appear likely to take on the second tier without Keane Lewis-Potter this time around, but bringing in a significant fee could turn out to benefit them in the closing exchanges of the window.

Reports emerged this morning that the rumoured fee, for which Sheffield Wednesday are hoping to lure Mallik Wilks to Hillsborough Stadium from Hull is going to be £200,000, as per YorkshireLive.

Wilks only has one year remaining on his deal at the MKM Stadium, but given his consistently outstanding performances when the club won the League One title in 2020/21, it would be a surprise for the Tigers to not yield a heftier fee for the versatile forward's services.

Jacob Greaves is on the radar of Middlesbrough, as per The Northern Echo, and Chris Wilder and his recruitment team may not be finished in their pursuit of the technically gifted defender.

Greaves was ever-present in the league for the Tigers last season and would take some replacing, supplying a test of the ambitions of Ilicali, and whether or not the club are willing to sell to a direct Championship rival.

Hull are among a host of clubs interested in a move for Tyler Roberts this summer, as per the Daily Mail.

The 23-year-old has shown his class in patches as a bit-part player for Leeds United in the last few seasons, and the Welshman is able to play in any forward role.

With attacking reinforcements required at the MKM Stadium, Roberts would be an eye-catching addition, but at the moment possibly more due to the competition that the Tigers would have to see off to land the 23-year-old, more than the respect he would command as an attacking player at second tier level.
