Robert Glatzel has labelled team-mate Lee Tomlin as an 'unbelievable' player after his astonishing assist helped Cardiff comeback to draw 3-3 with Leeds on Saturday.

Tomlin played an instrumental part in the result on the weekend, and set up Glatzel to equalise late on with a quite brilliant back-heel flick.

For much of the game it was one way traffic, and Cardiff found themselves 3-0 down approaching the 60th minute mark. However, Tomlin's consolation sparked a rally from the away side and Sean Morrison netted a second and then got sent-off before Glatzel converted the equaliser.

It was a huge result for Neil Harris as manager, and he'll have been delighted to have seen the belief that his players showed to not give up during the fixture.

Glatzel has expressed his delight to get a goal, and has praised Tomlin for his impact and ability to do something special.

Speaking to Dai Sport, Glatzel said: “Tommo is an unbelievable player.

“He always has these tricks and he’s always ready to do something special, so it’s good to have him in the team.

“On a personal note, it feels good to have come back onto the pitch, and to get a goal and the result was great."

The Verdict

It was simply stunning, first the goal that Tomlin managed to score and then the assist. It shows the unique quality that the player has and still is able to show in the Championship.

Cardiff were out of the game, and being demolished by Leeds. It really was a quite staggering turnaround and one that could have big implications for the Bluebirds in terms of confidence and spirit within the squad.

Since Harris came in, Cardiff seem to have picked up in form, but more importantly in their performances. This will please the supporters and give them hope of a play-off finish.
