It's safe to say that Jude Bellingham has gone on to bigger and better things since leaving Birmingham City in the summer of 2020.

Not many would have predicted that the young midfielder would have gone on to feature in the Borussia Dortmund first-team so quickly, but he's caught the eye with a number of impressive performances for the German giants.

The 17-year-old made his 37th appearance of the season against Manchester City in the quarter-finals of the Champions League on Tuesday evening, as they were narrowly beaten 2-1 by Pep Guardiola's side.

City took the lead through Kevin De Bruyne, before Marco Reus finished off a well-worked move between Bellingham and Erling Haaland. But Phil Foden scored late on to give Manchester City the advantage heading into the second-leg of the tie.

But the game could have panned out differently on the night, after Jude Bellingham had his goal ruled out for a 'supposed' foul on Ederson, although replays later showed that Bellingham took the ball, whilst Ederson could have been penalised for a foul on the England international.

Plenty of Birmingham City fans took to social media to react to the incident involving Bellingham.
