Rob Hulse is a household names for supporters of Leeds, Derby, QPR and West Brom but it's fair to say his career path has taken an interesting turn since retiring from football.

After starting his career at Crewe Alexandra in 1999, he spent four years with club, scoring 51 goals in 131 appearances which saw Hulse earn a move to West Brom in 2003.

He only spent two seasons with the Baggies before moving to English giants, Leeds United where he certainly made a notable contribution for the Whites, netting 20 goals across two seasons.

Hulse never seemingly settled with a club for a considerable amount of time and moved to Sheffield United where he will be keen to forget his torrid time with the Blades.

He scored eight goals in the Premier League but they were subsequently relegated, and he failed to score in 21 appearances in the Championship before moving onto Derby.

Hulse fared much better with the Rams, scoring 31 goals in 96 games.

The striker then had spells at QPR (in which he won the Championship title in 2010-2011), Charlton and Millwall before calling time on his playing career in 2013, and he didn't waste any time in changing career paths.

Hulse took up a physiotherapy degree at the University of Salford and graduated in 2017, where he has since gone on to secure a full-time role as a physiotherapist at Russells Hall Hospital in Dudley.

Certainly an interesting route to go down, but he will be well remembered for his contributions to a number of Championship clubs across his successful career in football.
