New Tranmere boss Rob Edwards says he is pleased with what he has seen from his players so far in pre-season training.
Rovers players returned to training on Wednesday morning and, speaking to the club’s official website, the former Welsh international is happy with the progress the group have made in the first three days.
He said: I’ve enjoyed it and I hope the players have as well. We’ve done quite a lot of work and it’s great to have met the players. I’m really impressed by them, their attitude and technical ability. I can’t wait to get the games started.
“Their application has been spot on. In the first day or two there is a lot of anxiety so I’ve tried to relax the players. Next week we’ll crank it up to see what they’re good at and what they’re not so good at.”
Edwards believes that team spirit can play a vital part in a successful League Two side and he hopes it is something that he can implement at Prenton Park.
