Ipswich Town yesterday completed the signing of Brentford midfielder Alan Judge until the end of the season.

The 30-year old joins the Portman Road side on a short term deal with a view to helping them out of their current predicament. They're bottom of the Championship, seven points adrift of safety.

Judge has slipped down the pecking order at Griffin Park, making 25 appearances this season but only four starts in the Championship. The midfielder has previously appeared 118 times for Brentford, 78 of which have been league starts.

He's right into the firing line at Ipswich, they're embroiled in a vicious relegation battle after a horrible start to the season, but signings such as Judge make a lot of sense. He's an experienced professional, perhaps deemed by Bees fans as surplus to requirements, but just right for the struggles in Suffolk.

Fans of both sides have been on social media praising the move, with all in agreement it is best for both clubs, and the player. Here's the pick of their responses.
