Leeds United's pursuit of Southampton striker Che Adams is continuing to dominate the headlines as we approach the midway stage of the January transfer window.

It's previously been revealed by Saints boss () that he is keen to retain the services of Adams for the remainder of the season, as he sees the striker as a strong option to challenge the likes of Danny Ings for their starting spot.

But The Athletic's Phil Hay has revealed that Leeds United have set a deadline for a decision to be made on Adams' future, whether that be at Southampton or with the Whites.

The reliable journalist also stated that Leeds are looking into alternative striking options this month in case a deal for Adams fails to materialise.

Plenty of the Elland Road faithful took to social media to react to a deadline being set for a decision on Adams' future.
