Derby County are set to be fined £100,000 for accounting irregularities, the EFL have recently confirmed ahead of the 2021/22 season.

That's not their only worry either, with the threat of relegation into League One still potentially being on the cards for Wayne Rooney's side.

Derby have also been ordered to file restated accounts for financial years ending 30 June 2016, 2017 and 2018 that meet the requirements of FRS102, together with updated Profit & Sustainability calculations if necessary.

With the Championship and League One fixture list recently being released, the EFL have confirmed that there will be an interchangeable fixture list for Derby County and Wycombe Wanderers, with the Chairboys potentially playing their football in the second tier once again if the Rams are to drop into League One after the disciplinary process.

Plenty of Derby County supporters took to social media to react to this update from the EFL on Wednesday evening.
