Brentford full-back Rico Henry has taken to Twitter to share a reflective message following his side's 3-1 victory over West London rivals QPR on Monday night.

The Bees sealed an impressive victory over their neighbours with Ollie Watkins scoring a double for Thomas Frank's side, while Said Benrahma was also on target with his second-half effort from the spot.

Henry played the full 90 minutes for Brentford in his usual left-back spot, but he endured a challenging night up against QPR winger Bright-Osayi-Samuel whose pace and quick feet provided a stern test for the Bees defender.

The threat posed by Osayi-Samuel saw Henry receive a booking in the early stages of the second half, but the Brentford man managed to keep the winger quiet for the rest of the evening as his side eventually came out on top.

Henry has now taken to Twitter to assert he will learn from the test against Osayi-Samuel, but ultimately claimed the final result felt amazing as Brentford secured their third consecutive victory.

Henry has enjoyed a prominent role in the Brentford side this season having made a total of 15 appearances after seeing his campaign interrupted by a series of injuries last term.

The Verdict

Henry's tweet shows that he is always looking for ways to improve his performances, even when his side have secured one of their most impressive victories of the season.

However, Henry is perhaps being a little harsh on himself. He faced a tough challenge against a strong Championship winger and largely managed to handle the threat well, apart from the first part of the second half where he was booked.

It now appears that Brentford are finally discovering a hot streak of form after a mixed start to the Championship season, and they must now look to build on this during winnable matches against Huddersfield and Wigan.
