Rhian Brewster has stated that he still hears from his Liverpool team-mates after completing his loan move to Swansea two weeks ago.

The youngster has spoken at his delight of being texted by senior players such as James Milner and Jordan Henderson who have been tracking his progress whilst he's been away.

Brewster has started twice for Swansea since coming to the club, and managed to net his first goal on Saturday when his instinctive strike brought the Swans level against Wigan.

He'll now be hoping to push on as Swansea look for a place to keep their place in the Championship top six and achieve an unlikely promotion to the Premier League.

Brewster has thanked the senior players for still thinking of him whilst he's away and has expressed his excitement for the rest of the campaign.

Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, Brewster said: "There’s a loan manager that I talk to, but I talk to everyone. Milly (James Milner) texted me last week, Hendo (Jordan Henderson) texted me this week.

"I still keep in contact with the boys which is good and I thank them that they’re still thinking of me, which is good. I’m just looking forward to playing for the Swans for the rest of the season."

The Verdict

It's nice to hear that Liverpool players are still in contact with the youngster and it shows that he has made some good friends whilst at the Premier League leaders.

He has a lot of potential and this loan spell is a real opportunity for him to start showing that on a regular occurrence and start improving week in week out. He'll have felt a whole lot of pressure lifted from his shoulders having netted his first for the club on Saturday.

If he keeps being a goal threat then there's no reason why he can't go on and help the Swans secure a place in the top six, which would give them every chance of promotion.
