After four years at Sunderland, Jack Rodwell cancelled his contract at The Stadium of Light this summer.

Rodwell had been part of the Sunderland squad which suffered consecutive relegations from the Premier League to League One and many fans consider him to be one of the worst signings in the club's history.

Nevertheless, the former Everton and Manchester City midfielder has found himself a new club.

Rodwell has signed for Blackburn Rovers in the Championship, penning a one-year deal at Ewood Park.

In an attempt to resurrect his career, he has decided to join Rovers, where Tony Mowbray is hoping that he can sort out his attitude, apply himself and get back towards his best.

The former England international was once a £15m player and Sunderland signed him for £10m.

Sunderland fans flocked to social media to discuss Rodwell's latest career move and here are a selection of the best replies after his switch to Blackburn was announced.
