Revealed: Only 30% of Sunderland fans expect deal to be sealed for 28-year-old

We’re not too far away now from the January transfer window with Championship clubs set to be busy in order to improve their current positions.

Certainly, Sunderland will be one side looking to do just that with things under Chris Coleman looking that bit stronger right now.

The Welsh manager has done a pretty decent job so far in his short tenure and a big and positive January could see him guide the club well clear of the drop zone for the rest of the campaign.

His plans have been hinted at in the press, then, and one report from the Shields Gazette certainly caught the eye.

Indeed, they were of the opinion that Jack Colback could end up going back to Sunderland with him not playing at all for arch-rivals Newcastle.

Certainly, this would be a shock with him leaving controversially and now potentially returning to what would possibly be a pretty negative welcome.

With that in mind, we asked Sunderland fans if they expected the deal to happen but, it appears, most do not:

Perhaps not such a surprise given what has happened between the player and the club in recent seasons.
