Newport County will be hoping they can hold their nerve in the race to win promotion into League One this season under the management of Michael Flynn. 

They're currently sat sixth in the League Two table, and will be looking to pick up three points when they return to action on Tuesday evening against Tranmere Rovers.

The striker began his career with Irish side Shamrock Rovers, but moved to Newport County in 2017, and has gone on to be a regular for the side ever since.

Tom King is at number nine for Newport, with the shot-stopper earning a reported £810 per week.

The goalkeeper has found regular game time hard to come by this season with the League Two side, with Nick Townsend often being the preferred option between the posts.

Scot Bennett is in at number eight for Newport County, with the 30-year-old reportedly earning £820 per week with the club.

He's been with the club since 2016, and re-joined them on a one-year contract back in August 2020, after originally being released from his contract at the end of the 2019/20 season.

Matt Dolan is another player that has featured heavily for Newport County over the years.

The midfielder reportedly earns £900 per week according to Salary Sport, and he'll be hoping he can play his part in their promotion bid from League Two this term.

Mickey Demetriou is at number six on the list, with wages of £900 per week as well.

The defender has been with the club since 2017, and has been a regular for the Newport County team over the years. He signed a two-year contract extension with the club back in 2019, so his current deal is set to expire at the end of this season.

Newport County goalkeeper Nick Townsend is at number five, with the shot-stopper reportedly earning £900 per week.

Townsend spent his youth career with Birmingham City, and moved to Newport County in 2018.

Aaron Lewis is in at number four, with wages of £950 per week according to Salary Sport.

The full-back started his career with Swansea City, but moved to Newport County in February 2021, on a deal until the end of this year's campaign.

Sheehan kicks off the top-three, with reported wages of £1,100 per week.

The midfielder had a loan spell with Newport County, before signing permanently for the club in 2018. He has since gone on to be a regular in the team ever since. Sheehan has also been capped at senior level for the Welsh national team.

Labadie is second on the list, with wages of £1,100 per week according to Salary Sport.

The 30-year-old started his career with West Brom, but signed for Newport County back in 2016, and has gone on to be a regular for the club over the years.

Baker is top of the list for Newport County, with it being claimed that he has wages of £1,500 per week.

The former Sheffield Wednesday man signed for the League Two club in January 2020, and scored his first goal for the club against Leyton Orient in the FA Cup in November.
