Gillingham look set for another mid-table finish in League One.

Steve Evans' side have, for the most part, kept out of the relegation battle but the gap between the Gills and the play-offs looks a little too big for them to launch a late promotion push.

With their League One status all but secured for another year, we've compiled a list of Gillingham's top 10 biggest earners, according to Salary Sport...

The Manchester United academy product has struggled to convince at Priestfield and with his contract set to expire in the summer, his future looks uncertain.

Willock has been little more than a bit-part player this term, it seems a move elsewhere may be best for him.

The goalkeeper has been ever-present in Evans' side since moving from Brentford in 2019.

Over the past two seasons, he's been a reliable shot-stopper and certainly earned his keep.

What a signing Graham has been for the Gills. The winger has been arguably their most dangerous attacking player this term, having joined on a free transfer from Wolves in the summer.

So far, he's looked an absolute bargain.

Maghoma joined as a free agent in August and has yet to really show his quality for Gillingham.

Injuries have hampered the 23-year-old centre-back's chances so far but as he returns to fitness he'll be keen to prove his worth.

The defender has been a fantastic servant for the club over the past three-and-a-half years, having originally joined on loan before signing permanently from Tottenham in 2019.

With his contract set to expire this summer, could we see the left-back rise further up this list if he stays at Priestfield?

Gills fans may feel they've not yet seen the best of the wide player, though since the start of the year there have been glimpses of his quality.

MacDonald has thrived in League Two in the past but seems to still be finding his feet in the third tier.

Having signed on a free transfer from Cardiff City, it makes sense that O'Keefe is in the top five.

The defensive midfielder was fantastic last season but has missed the majority of the current campaign due to injury.

The Gills' summer signing has proven a fantastic addition, pulling the strings and proving a goal threat from central midfield as well as taking the captain's armband.

Supporters will likely have no issue with his place high on this list, though given Nottingham Forest were linked earlier this year the club may have to offer him a bigger deal to convince him to stay put.

The experienced centre-forward has proven quality in the EFL, with more than 100 goals to his name in League One and League Two.

Akinde joined from Lincoln City last January and has proven a useful acquisition so far.

Given the Gills signed the striker from the Championship last summer, it's no surprise to see him top this list.

Goalscorers are usually the bigger earners and it seems it's no different at Priestfield, though supporters may feel they haven't quite got their money's worth yet.
