Just like last season, Brentford are once again in the battle for promotion from the Championship to the Premier League.

The Bees will be desperate not to miss out this time around, having done so in agonising fashion when they were missed out in the play-off final.

Securing the club promotion to the top-flight of English football would ensure that the club's squad have earned their money, but exactly how much do Brentford's top earners make?

Here, we've taken a look at the top ten highest paid players in the Brentford squad, according to Salary Sport.

Ghoddos joined Brentford from French side Amiens on loan last summer, before signing a permanent, two-year deal with the Bees in the summer.

The Iranian midfielder - who has so far scored four goals in 30 appearances for Brentford - is reportedly on a wage of £14,000 per week, or £728,000 per year.

One of the most experienced players in the Brentford squad, Dalsgaard recently passed 150 appearances for the club.

The 31-year-old midfielder's contract at the club is set to expire at the end of this season, with that current deal earning him £16,000 per week, or £832,000 per year.

A regular for Brentford since joining from Barnsley in the summer of 2019, Pinnock claims eighth spot on this list.

The 27-year-old centre back apparently earns £17,000 per week, which equates £884,000 per year, having signed a new contract with the club until the summer of 2025 earlier this season.

DaSilva is another who put pen to paper on a new deal with Brentford earlier in the campaign, with his current deal set to run until the end of the 2023/24 season.

That deal will earn the midfielder, who recently reached a century of appearances for the club, £18,000 per week, or £936,000 per year.

Jensen joined Brentford from La Liga side Celta Vigo back in the summer of 2019, on a four-year deal that is enough to earn him sixth place on this list.

The Danish international midfielder is currently making £19,000 per week, which works out at £988,000 per year.

Since joining Brentford from Peterborough in the summer transfer window, Toney has scored 24 goals and provided nine assists in 31 league games for the Bees.

That puts him top of the Championship scoring charts, so he is certainly earning his £21,000 per week, or £1.09million per year, which will surely rise if he continues this form, with or without Brentford.

Since joining Brentford from Blackburn in the summer of 2019, Raya has quickly established himself as the Bees' first choice goalkeeper.

Given the importance of that role, it is no surprise to see him well up this list, earning a reported £22,000 per week, or £1.14million per year.

It's been a frustrating time for Norgaard this season, with injury restricting him to just eight appearances across all competitions for Thomas Frank's side.

Even so, the midfielder - who has two-and-a-half years remaining on his current Brentford, earns £22,000 per week, which works out at £1.14million per year.

The last of Brentford's famed "B.M.W" front three that was so effective last year to still be at the club, you can certainly understand Mbuemo's high placing on this list.

The attacker, who has four goas and assists so far this season, reportedly makes £23,000 per week, which is £1.196million per year.

Sitting top of this list is Brentford's, perhaps understandably, the club's on pitch leader and club captain, Pontus Jansson.

The 30-year-old centre back, who joined from Leeds in the summer of 2019, earns £24,000 per week, or £1.25million per year on his current contract, which expires at the end of next season.
