Despite guiding Sheffield Wednesday to consecutive play-off appearances in the Sky Bet Championship, pressure continues to grow on Carlos Carvalhal, who appears to be fighting for his job at Hillsborough.

The Owls currently sit 12th in the Championship table, four points adrift of the current top-six, with Carvalhal’s side struggling for any real consistency heading into mid-October. Three defeats in their last four fixtures, including a 2-1 loss at the hands of Bolton Wanderers on Saturday, has seen large sections of Wednesday’s support call for Carvalhal to be sacked.

Carvalhal’s side are once again on the road this weekend, with Wednesday travelling to the Pride Park Stadium, where the pressure is firmly on the visitors to produce an improved display and end a miserable run of form against Derby County.

Many believe that Carvalhal is walking a tightrope, and here at FLW, we asked our followers if they believe the Portuguese manager should be sacked if Wednesday suffer another defeat this weekend.

Over 200 Twitter users took part in our poll, with 68% believing that Wednesday should sack Carvalhal if he suffers another defeat this weekend against Derby, with just 32% believing he is deserving of more time.
