Leeds United have endured a mixed start to the 2017/18 campaign, with Thomas Christiansen’s side starting magnificently in the Sky Bet Championship, before a miserable run of results saw them slide down the table.

Even despite Leeds’ 2-1 victory over Middlesbrough on Sunday, their form over the last 10 Championship fixtures has still been miserable, with the Whites suffering seven defeats.

Not many of Christiansen’s side have performed well in recent weeks, but one player who has come out with plenty of credit is Samuel Saiz.

So far this season, the 26-year-old has received plenty of praise, having scored eight goals across all competitions and assisted a further three.

Here at FLW, we believe £2.25m-rated Saiz is one of the best players to have played for Leeds since their relegation from the Premier League in 2004, and wanted to ask the question whether the club’s supporters would rather have the Spaniard or Robert Snodgrass, another player who has excelled at Elland Road between now and then.

Snodgrass played for Leeds between 2008 and 2012, scoring 41 goals and assisting a further 40, making an impressive impact at Elland Road under Simon Grayson in particular.

However, in our poll, Saiz edged past the now Aston Villa forward, with 66% of voters insisting they would rather have the 26-year-old in his peak over Snodgrass.
