Birmingham City will be hoping to get the FA Cup defeat out of their system this weekend when they take on Middlesbrough in the Championship.
League action resumes after a brief interval to facilitate the third round of the oldest cup competition in the world.
Garry Monk’s side will be aiming to win for the first time in three matches this weekend after two consecutive draws in the league.
The Blues followed up a goalless stalemate at home to Brentford before a 1-1 draw against Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough.
After last Saturday’s cup travels, it’s home comfort for Monk and his side.
With that said, this is the starting XI we expect Monk to play against Middlesbrough tomorrow afternoon.
Lee Camp is expected to remain between the sticks with a familiar back four in front of him.
Kristian Pedersen should return to the first-team after injury at left back, while Michael Morrison and Harlee Dean pair up at the heart of the Blues’ defence. Maxime Colin should retain his place at right-back.
Jota, too, is expected to return to the starting XI this weekend, and he will take up a position on the right-hand side with Jacques Maghoma on the opposite flank.
Maikel Kieftenbeld and Gary Gardner should resume control in the middle of the Birmingham midfield.
And finally, Che Adams and Lukas Jutkiewicz should continue their prolific partnership in attack for Monk’s side on Saturday afternoon.
