Sheffield Wednesday's season continued in impressive fashion yesterday as they saw off Barnsley.

A solid performance with plenty of attacking flair on show led the Owls to a second straight win in the Championship, as manager Lee Bullen continued to build a case towards being made permanent manager.

His decision to replace the injured Barry Bannan with new signing Jacob Murphy was quickly vindicated as the winger fired in to give the Owls the lead just two minutes into his debut.

And Bannan, despite missing out on the game was quick to praise his teammates from his sick bed, as he took to Twitter to deliver a message to his Wednesday squad members and supporters.
