Respected journalist provides update on future of Norwich City manager

According to reliable journalist Rob Butler, Alex Neil has been given assurances that his job is not in jeopardy if Norwich City lose their next two games.
Rob Butler of BBC Radio Norfolk provided the update via his personal Twitter account after having a discussion with Alex Neil over his future.
Neil claims that the board and the owners have both assured him that his job is not hinging on success in midweek against Aston Villa or during this Friday’s clash with Huddersfield.
After sitting atop the Championship in mid-October, there was plenty of optimism surrounding Norwich’s hopes of an immediate return to the top flight.
But since then, the Canaries have lost six of their last eight league games and been dumped out of the EFL Cup.
Their only respite was in the shape of a 5-0 thrashing of Brentford but they returned to losing ways on the weekend when they fell to defeat against Barnsley.
Norwich have slipped to 9th which has inevitably caused fans to question Neil’s future.
