AFC Bournemouth forward, Josh King, looks set to be on the radar of West Ham United again in the near future.

King has stuck around at Bournemouth despite the club's relegation back into the Championship, with a Premier League move not materialising in the summer.

However, Bournemouth could still lose King, whose contract is beginning to run down on the South Coast.

Quiz: Do these celebrities support Portsmouth, Bournemouth, Brighton or Southampton?

Claret and Hugh tease that Bournemouth could well be fielding more interest from West Ham in the January transfer window, with the Cherries potentially facing the prospect of accepting a cut-price deal for the 28-year-old given his contract situation.

King has made five appearances this season for Bournemouth back in the Championship, but he's yet to record a goal or an assist.

However, the Norwegian forward has been a hit in the Premier League before and has 48 top-flight goals to his name in the last five seasons.

Last year, as Bournemouth were relegated, he scored six times and registered a further four assists.

His best tally in the Premier League came in 2016/17 when he bagged 16 goals in only 36 appearances.

The Verdict

King's contract situation means that you've got to expect that there will be January interest in him.

Ultimately, he'd be a good signing for West Ham if he can get back to his best levels.

The 2016/17 campaign was excellent at that Premier League level and, if West Ham sign him and get him there, he could be a real weapon at a reasonable price.
