Liverpool are unlikely to move for Ismaila Sarr in the final days of the domestic transfer window for the same reason that Manchester United are unlikely to, because of Champions League registration.

The Reds will be looking to bounce back from a heavy defeat at Aston Villa next time out when they head to Everton after the international break.

It seems unlikely that new players will be joining between now and then, too, according to Rousing the Kop.

They claim that the Champions League window passing for player registration will mean the Reds do not see any new signing, Sarr included, as worthwhile and they'll now wait until the January window before deciding who they want to buy, if they want to at all.

Sarr was linked with the Reds by The Liverpool Echo among other outlets but it appears it is not going to happen.

The Verdict

This news will come as a boost to Watford who will be hoping that they can keep hold of Sarr now until at least the January window.

He is a good player and the Hornets have fought hard to keep hold of him so far in this window and, by the sounds of things, the interested parties are starting to fade away.
