Sheffield Wednesday have reportedly not yet offered new contracts to Atdhe Nuhiu, Fernando Forestieri, and Kieran Lee.

The trio are among numerous Owls players that are set to become free agents in the summer.

Goalkeeper Cameron Dawson was one such player but signed a new four-year contract back in January.

It is understood that Wednesday's attention has now turned to securing new deals for top scorer Steven Fletcher and full-back Morgan Fox.

According to the Sheffield Star, Nuhiu, Forestieri, and Lee are all yet to be offered new deals.

There has been lots of discussion in the media and amongst fans of a 'clear-out' at the club this summer, which would see the Owls get rid of a number of players that are seen to not be at the right level or excess to requirements.

You feel Nuhiu, Forestieri, and Lee could all fall into that category.

Nuhiu has featured 30 times in the Championship this season but added just three goals – not a good enough return for a striker.

Forestieri's impact has been relatively minimal, as well. Playmaker has struggled to re-create the form that made him a star at Hillsborough a few seasons ago and has added just two goals and one assist in his 17 league appearances.

Lee has been in and out of the first team under Monk, appearing 23 times in total, but at 31 there are question marks whether he still has a role to play at the Yorkshire club.

The Verdict

You feel that Nuhiu, Forestieri, and Lee are all candidates to leave the club in this summer's clear-out.

Nuhiu looks the most likely to sign a new deal, given Wednesday's lack of forward options and the fact that he allows the side to change to a very direct style.

It will be interesting to see whether the trio can prove they deserve a new deal when the season resumes.
